Job Description
Technical/Product - Corporate Solutions Engineer
We are seeking an outstanding technology professional to design, integrate and implement internal corporate business services solutions. This person will have responsibility for the strategic architecture/engineering of internally facing corporate applications as well as for establishing their relevant business cases.
Responsibilities
* Design and implement internal business services solutions.
* Drive and develop strategy and standards used to guide the development of corporate and departmental business services infrastructure.
* Perform complex systems and analysis, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
* Coordinate system testing, conduct technical walk-throughs, assist in the development of operational run-books and associated training of the global support team for the applications delivered.
* Perform complex software installation to ensure systems function as designed and update systems to stakeholders specifications.
* Responsible for performing engineering and implementation reviews for 3rd party solutions (both SAAS and in-house).
* Interacts with the project team and vendors (software and hardware) in the implementation and configuration of technology solutions.
Qualifications/Skills
* Proven history of designing, implementing, deploying and supporting large global highly resilient enterprise solutions.
* Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate business solutions.
* Continually seeks opportunities to increase end-user satisfaction while effectively managing client expectations.
* Experienced delivering well engineered, high quality results quickly.
* Capable of presenting, producing, and running a fiscally successful project.
* Works effectively as part of a team or independently.
* Extensive working knowledge and professional experience with TCP/IP, DNS, WINS and DHCP.
* Demonstrated professional MS engineering experience including; Microsoft 2000/2003/2008 Server, Exchange, Active Directory, SQL and SharePoint.
* Demonstrated experience deploying and maintaining enterprise wide Microsoft solutions on Intel/AMD server HW and VMware ESX virtual infrastructure environments.
* Strong technical understanding of Web Services, multi-tier architecture and application clustering technologies.
* Must have experience with 3rd/4th generation or higher programming languages and relational databases.
* Must have deep understanding of software development processes and significant experience in working with system integrators.
* Demonstrated effective liaison with end users and business sponsors. Individual must be capable of establishing, articulating, and presenting the business value of technical design.
* Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate and be effective at all organizational levels.
Desired
* Financial Services or Technology industry experience
* Implementation of large ERP and HRIS in a mid sized organization.
* Experience with LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySql, PhP, etc.) is a plus.
* MCITP (or greater) certifications are a plus.
* Open Source Technologies.
