PURPOSE: Work with the line producer and executive producer in formatting the rundowns for each and every show. Supervising Producer for Daily 10 is responsible for approving all video in show.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Review all pieces in the edit bay before they air, checking content and production value.
· Working with producers and editors to fine tune their pieces
· Responsible for working with prod coordinators to make sure editors are getting pieces done in time and making sure producers finish their pieces in a timely fashion. All pieces are produced day-of-show.
· Approve all video in show.
· Responsible for assigning producers to pieces, so must have a very good knowledge of producers’ strengths and weaknesses.
· Work directly with graphics department and On Air Design in developing and furthering graphic look of the show as well as creating new graphics for new segments
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Minimum of 5 years experience in television news.
· Experience in producing a daily television show
· Experience in edit bays and producing pieces a must
· Must be detail oriented and have strong managerial, organizational and communications skills.
· Demonstrate expertise and creativity in television news writing and production, preferably entertainment news.
