Job Description
This position is responsible for the entire client relationship, providing consultative selling based on understanding of industry, client strategy and needs. The position focuses on providing insightful, value-added research to existing clients. The skills required to be successful are exceptional client management skills, a team-selling focus, and a significant understanding of the market research industry in general and TNS products and services in particular. This role will be measured on increasing sales at the specific account(s) but also critically on the introduction of additional TNS products and services.
Required Skills
Manages the client relationship, recognizes key client issues and ensure that client needs and project objectives are consistently met
Ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and meet the client's expectations
Conveys the broad range of product and service offerings of TNS to clients, while being well-versed in a specific industry
Oversees projects from the sales phase through to delivery
Creates detailed account mapping and acquisition strategy development
Coordinates and deploys internal resources to serve client and deliver insightful research
Prepare presentations for clients in partnership with other practice areas and product leads
Analyzes and interprets project results
Monitors project costs throughout the life of a project
Communicates budget fluctuations on projects and discusses the appropriate recourse, including identifying the need for re-bids
Builds effective project teams to support project assignments and ensures teams have a common understanding of the client needs and objectives
Fosters team spirit and collaboration
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree
7-10 years of relevant work experience in market research, with specific industry experience required
Demonstrated excellence in selling, ideally in the market research space
Exceptional client management skills
Strong negotiation and facilitation skills
