Job Description
Marketing Director - Media Intelligence The Marketing Director is responsible for managing the TNS Media Intelligence marketing function in the U.S. Position Overview: This position supports the US and internationally-based marketing needs of TNS Media Intelligence and implementing various projects that help promote the TNS MI brand to clients and the industry at large. The Marketing Director will be a business leading member for TNS Media Intelligence and part of the TNS Group, a $1.8 billion dollar company ranked #2 worldwide in marketing information. TNS Media Intelligence monitors 3 million brands worldwide across a multitude of media, including TV, radio, print, the Internet, cinema and outdoor. This enterprising career opportunity will include but not limited to: Responsibilities: * Strategic planning, creation and project management of all marketing initiatives for sales and service groups * High-level coordination with Public Relations agencies on projects related to press release, speaking engagements and participation in global PR account * Creation and management of select communications from executive to staff and clients * Creation and maintenance of advertising materials, media schedule and barter agreements with key press * Event planning for a variety of client and industry-focused programs * Manage and coordinate corporate marketing related activities (website, branding, etc) * Manage a team comprised of a Marketing Manager and a Marketing Associate * Other special projects, as required Competencies: * Being Committed to Service Excellence and Added Value * Working together across the business domestically and with our international marketing partners * Effective Management and Motivation Leadership * Sense of Urgency * Creative problem-solver and out-of-the-box thinker; strategic vision and Implementation Required Skills * Bachelor¡'s degree with 7+ years of marketing experience in the media and/ or advertising industries. * Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint a must. Knowledge of HTML and Salesforece database software preferred. * Overall knowledge of the advertising, marketing, and media research industries is essential. * Must be extremely detail oriented, creative, able to work independently, be a strong leader * Must have exceptional communication skills ¡V written and verbal. Strong writing skills are required for press releases, presentations, direct mail (both electronic and hard copy). * Must be able to multi-task across corporate and sales/marketing needs and work in a fast-paced environment.
