Job Description Marketing Communications Specialist

Cunard is actively looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist at the headquarters of our sister company, Princess Cruises, in Santa Clarita, California (just north of Los Angeles).
What You Will Do:
You will plan, develop and execute marketing efforts targeting consumers and agents. You will identify opportunities and develop integrated communications efforts for key brand and business initiatives. To develop and produce materials, you will collaborate with internal clients, in-house departments, designer staff, international teams, external agencies and vendors.
Specific duties will include:

Maintain marketing, branding and positioning goals while delivering projects on-time and within budget.

Develop and manage preliminary documentation materials, such as, the production of 6-10 Shore Excursion catalogs and the management of biannual updates to the Cunard Voyage Answer Guide.

Develop and coordinate brand communications targeting Travel Agents and Agencies, such as, the Cunard Academy promotion and fulfillment, trade advertising, Group Guides, coordination of initial brochure distributions, collateral overviews, seminar support, and pricing bulletin systems/designs (working with Marketing Coordinator who retains responsibility for weekly implementation).

Develop and coordinate communications projects (logos, flyers, program naming, web content, etc.) for Onboard and Customer Service teams, as needed.

Supervise and coordinate trade fulfillment- warehousing & inventory coordination, research/resolution of problems, support for development of new fulfillment systems and web interfaces
What You Will Need:
*
Experience: 3-5 years in marketing and communications, ideally with experience coordinating large creative projects such as major brochures or integrated marketing campaigns
*
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, management ability and proficiency in the use of computer business applications.
*
Technology: Knowledge of graphic design applications and HTML.
Optional Skills You Might Offer:

Exposure to internet/web development and direct marketing.
*
Strong copy editing and design sense.
