Job Description
Position Description Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Regional Vice President ensures the implementation and ongoing continuous improvement of CarMax Sales strategy, processes and practices. The Regional Vice President continuously innovates for improvement with actionable processes and tools that drive sales conversion, efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction. The Regional Vice President participates in the selection process for Regional Management positions, and plays a key role in ensuring that a pipeline of talent exists for current and future store openings. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Drives successful execution of Sales and Corporate strategies by translating them into actionable plans for Regional Managers, • Drives implementation and key performance metrics ensuring successful and consistent results. • Partner cross functionally with senior management to drive sales conversion. • Develop and manage small Sales Operations team. • Conducts analysis and forms business plans to implement policies, processes or systems that promote operating effectiveness and efficiency. • Provides direction and leadership on the development of high potential associates and actively mentors and promotes talent. • Ensures that talent pipeline is filled with quality associates to meet short-term and long-term resource needs. • Develops strong partnerships with CarMax functional groups including Service Operations, Merchandising, Business Office, Procurement, Engineering, Legal, Business Office, IT and HR to advance mutual objectives and ensure alignment to Home Office strategic initiatives. Position Requirements EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • 10+ years Sales Operations experience with the proven ability to lead cross functional efforts and drive strategic initiatives • Extensive financial analysis skills • Excellent Project Management skills and demonstrated familiarity with project management methodology and tools • Experience developing and rolling out successful market development and growth strategies • Bachelor’s Degree preferred CRITICAL LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES: The Regional Vice President, Sales Operations must exhibit exemplary leadership skills.
