SR. FINANCIAL ANALYST - SiJCP

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing business planning support, budgeting and forecasting, reporting, and ad hoc analysis for Sephora Inside JC Penney organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Partner with Sephora Inside JCP organization to produce the annual budget, strategic plan, biannual forecasts and monthly reporting/analytical support.
· Provide weekly/semi-monthly sales tracking and analysis reporting
· Analyze key store/organization events and their impact on the business
· While financial analysis will be an important element of the role, the emphasis is on applying overall analytical skill and experience to become a highly valued business partner who works closely with stakeholders to solve problems as well as challenge the status quo.
· Actively represents the business in cross-functional meetings and cross-organizational meetings in the area of finance.
· Acquires and maintains a thorough understanding of the strategies, priorities and issues of supported areas
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree required
· +7 years of financial analysis experience
· CPA/MBA preferred but not required
· Joint Venture experience preferred but not required
· Advanced expertise with Excel Applications (interactive excel, macros)
· Experience with SAP
· Dynamic, independent, creative and highly motivated person who works well as a team member with non-financial personnel
· Must demonstrate strong strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
· Thrives on an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented
· Contributes new ideas and finds solutions to business challenges in operations and finance
