Overview:

Technology:
MobiTV and its partners continue to drive the development and delivery of mobile television over wired and wireless networks. MobiTV offers smooth integration with, and a natural extension to existing service infrastructure with optimal network utilization and dynamic real-time QoS adaptation and policies. The MobiTV platform has been built to scale with the demands of the rapidly growing mobile TV and Broadband market, and to the requirements of our carrier customers. Additionally, MobiTV offers operators a hosted solution providing end-to-end content ingestion, management and delivery services.
Consumer Experience
As part of MobiTV's managed service, there are more than 60 domestic US channels, more than 100 channels worldwide and an endless channel capacity. MobiTV continues to dominate the one-stop content delivery market for mobile video. MobiTV powers the mobile experience at Sprint, AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Telus and more. MobiTV also creates award-winning mobile experiences on nearly 400 wireless devices, including top-selling applications like March Madness On Demand, Notre Dame Central, CBS College Sports and Ultimate Fighting Championship.
As the owner of a MobiTV product line, you will have responsibility for the following activities:
Innovation: Synthesize new product and business concepts from your own vision as well as that of customers and partners. Leverage the creative talents of MobiTV employee base.
Product Line Ownership: Know and care more about your product than anyone in the world. Define the vision, and help lead the organization to build the business from the ground up. Do whatever it takes to make sure it gets done right.
Product Definition: Develop a deep understanding of your customer’s needs and your team’s capabilities. Work closely with engineering to define cutting edge products that can be delivered on time.
Product Strategy: Understand your customers, competitors, and the industry landscape. Provide deep understanding and analysis for the company to make high level decisions. Develop and drive the product roadmap.
Product Marketing: Champion the product internally and externally. Work closely with marketing to communicate features and benefits through all available information channels. Provide marketing and sales organizations with product documentation, tools, training and support required to maximize market success.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have the following attributes:
Collaborative: Must have the ability to seamlessly blend your product vision with that of customers, partners, and internal staff. We want you to challenge and push the organization, but you also must be flexible in your thinking, short on ego, and have the ability to forge consensus amongst diverse constituents.
Technically astute: To effectively define the future of television, you must understand the complex systems that enable it, and have the ability to assess technical capabilities, opportunities, and constraints. A background in engineering is not required, but is very useful.
Passionate: The MobiTV culture rewards those that care deeply about what they do and are not willing to settle for second best.
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
Required:
* At least 2 years of Senior Product Manager experience.
* Track record of creating successful leading edge products and services.
* Demonstrated entrepreneurial success.
* Demonstrated understanding of wireless industry products and landscape.
* Ability to think outside the box and be highly creative.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and persuasively at all levels internally and externally.
* Detail oriented.
* Positive attitude and collaborative team player.
Desired:
* Experience working with wireless carriers strongly preferred.
* Interactive/UI design experience strongly preferred
* Engineering degree and/or work experience desired.
* Combination of large company and start-up experience preferred.
