Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of Advanced Methods serves as leader of the Advanced Methods Group and excels in performing and presenting complex quantitative methodologies and statistical analyses to all audiences both internally and externally. The Vice President of Advanced Methods can readily provide innovating approaches to meet our clients’ objectives and has experience in the development of new analytical frameworks or applying existing frameworks to new applications.
Importantly, the Vice President position also has responsibility for the direct management of the advanced methods team, setting objectives, monitoring progress and overseeing their professional development. The position requires a close working relationship with account team leaders and portfolio practice leaders.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY
* Management of Advanced Methods team
* Provide thought leadership to the organization
* Mentoring junior level staff and ensuring the technical and professional development of the Advanced Methods Group
* Client facing with the ability to close sales
* Provide internal and external leadership on all types of quantitative market research
* Provide internal and external training
* Designing custom marketing research programs that meet clients’ business needs
* Conducting analyses and interpreting statistical results
* Delivery of results to internal and external clients
EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
* PhD (preferred) in quantitative discipline, e.g., Psychology, Statistics,
* Economics
* Strong background in the design and application of statistical analysis, interpretation and presenting of results
* Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in healthcare market research, preferred
* Expert on statistical analysis and experimental design
* Expert on survey design, development and execution
* Expert on the interpretation of statistical analyses
* Highly skilled communicator to all levels of audience comprehension
* Strong interpersonal, technical and content leadership skills
* Established record in public speaking and publications
* Market expertise in several major therapeutic areas
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Capable in managing and responding to multiple time-sensitive requests
* Demonstrated good business judgment, and
* Ability to travel for business
